 The Soccer School prides itself in a 16-year tradition, throughout the course of which it has become one of the most successful football schools in Slovenia. With Robert Koren, the School has further improved its quality of services and visibility. It provides young players with an excellent opportunity for progress in the fields of sports and personal development.

THE KEY GOALS OF THE ROBERT KOREN SOCCER SCHOOL ARE:

• TO RAISE YOUNG FOOTBALL PLAYERS,

• TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE SHAPING OF THEIR PERSONALITIES,

• TO EDUCATE THEM FOR FURTHER LIFE.

Between 200 and 220 boys from all over the Koroška Region in Slovenia are enrolled in the Soccer School on a yearly basis. They compete in the following sections:

• The youth (U-18) and the cadet (U-16) level tournaments in the 1st Slovene Youth League and the 1st Slovene Cadet Division;

• The senior boys (U-14) in the 1st Division U-14 East;

• The junior boys’ tournament (U-12) in the 1st League of the Inter-municipal Football Association Maribor;

• The U-10 and U-8 junior boys’ tournaments in the Inter-municipal Football Association Maribor – the Koroška Region Division;

• The youth team takes part in the cup tournament organized by the Inter-municipal Football Association and the Football Association of Slovenia.

In addition to playing regular league matches, we also take part in tournaments in Slovenia and abroad, organize a winter soccer school on locations at the Adriatic coast and the Danilo Gostečnik Memorial Tournament for the U-10, U-12 and U-14 sections. We cooperate closely with parents, organize barbecues and other kinds of entertaining socializing, and we also take our young football players to see live matches of the Slovene national team and some of the most important League matches.

The Soccer School takes special pride in the national team players it has produced in the past: Robert Koren, Marko Šuler and Nejc Pečnik.
