West Bromwich Albion Football Club, also known as The Baggies or WBA, is an English professional association football club based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, England. The club was formed in 1878 and was one of the founding members of England's Football League. The club has spent the majority of its existence in the top tier of English football. In the 1919-1920 season, they were champions of England, they have had 5 wins in the FA Cup and won the Football League Cup in 1966. Between 1986 and 2002 they spent their longest ever period out of the top division. The 2009-2010 season was spent in the second tier, however they have won promotion back to the Premier League for the 2010–2011 season.
